Second year of A Level -Further mechanics and thermal physics, Fields, Nuclear physics, Plus one option from the following – Astrophysics, Medical physics, Engineering physics, Turning points in physics, Electronics
5 or more 9-4 (A*-C) grades at GCSE including English Lang/Lit and Maths at Grade 4 or above Grade 6 or above in GCSE Physics or Grade 67 or above in GCSE Combined Science, and Grade 6 or above in Maths
There is no coursework on this course. However, your performance during practicals will be assessed. There are three exams at the end of the two years for A-level, all of which are two hours long. At least 15% of the marks for A-level.Physics are based on what you have learned in your practicals. The AS has two exams at the end of the year. Both are 1 hour 30 minutes long.
