You will gain knowledge and understanding essential to the health and social care sector, supporting progression to further learning or the workplace. You will be provided with the opportunity of participating in community charity events, visits to Health & Care settings and museums as well as work placement. On completion, you can enter the workforce or continue your study on a higher education programme at university.
You will need a minimum of four GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English and maths, or a related Level 2 vocational qualification. You will also need to complete a DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) check once enrolled, which the College will pay for if you are aged between 16–18 when you start the course. Mature applicants may be considered on relevant experience without having the required entry requirements. However, an interview will always be required.
