Course summary
Studying chemistry allows you to understand what is happening in the world around you. Chemists are inquisitive and seek to understand and utilise Earth’s natural resources in the most effective and efficient ways possible. Studying chemistry gives you an excellent understanding of science and opens up a wealth of potential opportunities for further study or employment. Chemistry is the subject you should study if you are interested in any of the following: materials science - could you design the next Kevlar?; pharmacology and drug design - could you invent the next wonder drug?; chemical engineering; medicine/veterinary science/dentistry. What skills will I develop? ● Practical skills for which you will be awarded the ‘practical endorsement’
