This qualification allows you to gain an in depth insight into the Health and Social Care sector. This is an applied qualification and is worth the equivalent of 3 A Levels. As part of your BTEC you will be required to undertake at least 100 hours of work experience in at least three different settings. This course will provide you with a clear grounding of the theory behind work in the health and social care sector, as well as practical skills and experiences! There is also an option to study for a one A Level equivalent and for this you will study Units 1,2 5 and 10. This course supports progression to any health and social care related degree, a related apprenticeship or employment. You can go on to study degrees in Nursing, Midwifery, Social Policy and Health Studies at excellent universities such as Nottingham, Birmingham, Sheffield and Kings College London.
