Six mandatory units: • principles of computer science • fundamentals of computer systems • planning and management of computer projects • IT systems security and encryption • business applications of social media • the impact of computing. Two optional units: Website Development Computer Networking
You will need to have GCSE Maths, English Language and two additional subjects at grade 4 (C) or above. As part of the application process you will also be asked to explain why you want to study this course, so that we can ensure any course offer made aligns to your career goals.
Assessment includes a range of types and styles using a set of work-related real-life case studies and practical demonstrations. You will complete external, internal and synoptic exams, assignments and timed projects.
