Course summary

This course can lead to careers including sports coaching, physiotherapy, personal training and leisure management. Your A Level in Physical Education will equip you with the knowledge, understanding and skills relating to the scientific, socio-cultural and practical aspects of Physical Education. You will analyze how physiological and psychological states affect performance and will develop your understanding of the key socio-cultural factors that influence people’s involvement in sport. Topics will include applied anatomy and physiology, skill acquisition, sport and society, biomechanical movement, sport psychology, sport and society and the role of technology in physical activity and sport.
