Duration – 2 Years Computer Science is a fascinating subject that teaches you how to think through problem-solving tasks and challenges. This is a two-year course that covers the theory of computation and many practical elements. You will become a competent programmer in Visual Basic.NET as well as working on an investigative project on a topic of interest to you. Maths at grade 6
You will be assessed formally through two exams (80%), one of which is an on-screen examination and a coursework element (20%). A qualification in Computer Science equips you with numerous skills: literacy, numeracy, analytical reasoning and problem-solving. Taking A-level Maths with this A-level will be advantageous but not essential.
