What will I learn on this course? Our Technicals qualifications in Business develops students’ core skills and understanding of the requirements of the business sector. Students gain hands-on experience and have the opportunity to focus on specific topics such as human resources, marketing, accounting and business planning. The Cambridge Technical qualification in Business Studies is an exciting introduction to the world of business which builds up to cover the more complex and interesting areas of business. The flexibility this course offers allows us to select the most engaging units that can be applied to the businesses we work with to bring the case studies to life.
GCSE Grade 5 or above in Maths and English would be desirable. Taking GCSE Business or Economics is not compulsory to take the subject. Minimum entrance requirements for these courses are merits in level 2 vocational courses plus five GCSE good passes (5+) and a strong commitment to the subject.
Extended Certificate (1 A Level Equivalent) Two externally assessed examinations, and three internally assessed coursework units. Exam Units: ❑ Unit 1 - The business environment (120 GLH) ❑ Unit 2 - Working in business (60 GLH) Coursework Units: ❑ Unit 4 - Customers and communication ❑ Unit 5 - Marketing and market research ❑ Unit 16 - Principles of project management
