What will I learn on this course? • You will learn about how the British government functions and how all outside political agents such as parties, voters and electoral systems affect and change how our government works. • You will be able to confidently evaluate different aspects of British democracy and how they are affected by different agents. • You will also be able to compare the structural, cultural and rational differences between American and British politics. • You will also learn about the modern political ideas that have shaped our democracy and society. From liberalism to anarchy, you will confidently be able to assess the merits and pitfalls across the political spectrum.
GCSE grade 6 or above in English language would be preferable. Some basic idea of how British and American politics work would be helpful, but most importantly, a genuine interest in what is happening in the world Must have a grade 7+ average in GCSEs. Must have a grade 7 in relevant GCSE subject. around, in and outside Britain. A willingness to stay up to date regarding the news would be most useful to succeed on this course.
