Business Studies
Course summary
Whether you’re seeking entry into the world of business or looking to progress your career towards a management position, our business and management courses have much to offer you. This course gives students a general introduction to the world of business and explores different aspects of management. Knowledge gained and skills developed on the course will give you the confidence to progress or start a career in the business world. The course also allows students to specialise into one of two pathways. The two pathways are: Business and Finance or Business Management. Both pathways have the same mandatory units but differ with a range of different optional units to make two clear pathways for our students that want to move into either a finance career or human resources. This qualification gives learners experience of the breadth and depth of the sector that will prepare them for further study or training. If you are successful in Year 1 you will progress onto the Extended Diploma in Business. The two year programme is approximately equivalent to 3 A levels.
