The Level 3 Extended Project allows learners to study a topic of their choice in great depth, extending their learning in the chosen area of study and developing highly desirable skills which will help prepare students for either University study or the world of work. The Extended Project gives students an opportunity to manage and conduct their own research and investigate areas of interest about which they are passionate. Units Studied: Year 12 Content In Year 12, the Extended Project will introduce students to the course and encourage students to begin researching and preparing a project proposal, which will form the foundation of their project in Year 13.
Students require a minimum of a grade 7 in English (Literature or Language) and Mathematics, with at least three grade 7s in other relevant subjects.
Method of Assessment: The project is assessed via submittal of the completed project in the summer term and an assessed presentation, given at the end of the process, in which students will evaluate their project outcomes.
