Entry requirements

6.5 Average Points Score across all GCSEs (minimum 8 GCSE qualifications). Grade 5 in GCSE Maths and English Language. Subject Entry Criteria: Grade 7 in GCSE Physical Education (or GCSE Biology/Combined Science if not studied)

How you'll be assessed

PAPER 1: Written examination (2 hours)—35% of the A level grade -Questions will be on applied anatomy and physiology, skill acquisition, and sport and society. PAPER 2: Written examination (2 hours)—35% of the A level grade -Questions will be on exercise physiology and biomechanics, sport psychology, sport and society, and technology in sport. NON_EXAM ASSESSMENT: Practical assessment in 1 sport plus a written analysis of performance— 30% of A level grade. -Consists of an internal practical assessment in 1 sport plus a written analysis of performance. This will be externally moderated by the exam board.
