The course is split into three stages: 1. Skills Building - Students are taught a wide range of 2D and 3D skills, using both traditional and digital materials and techniques. Both projects include developing ideas from creative photograph and will also develop elements of 3D design, textiles and graphical skills. 2. Most of the teaching at this stage is delivered through individual tutorials and mini workshops, which helps to direct students along their chosen pathway. Examples of past projects include: the portrayal of women in the visual arts through the ages, how Art can be used to portray a person's culture and how sub-culture is represented in art. 3. Exam - Students choose a question from the exam paper and, over a period of eight weeks, complete a project in lessons, study periods and homework time. They will receive from their teachers, who will guide and support them throughout the program of study and help prepare them for the completion of final designs during an invigilated studio session. Examples of past projects include: Changed Identity, Connections, Myths and Urban Legends and Urban Environment.
