Course summary

Northwood students will build in-depth skills and knowledge to investigate the real world with confidence: recording, analysis and creation of a visual response to their surroundings. Year 12 1st half term topics Autumn term: PERSONAL INVESTIGATION - Theme: Transfomation. Component 1 Environment & Portraiture AO1: Develop ideas through sustained and focused investigations informed by contextual and other sources, demonstrating analytical and critical understanding Spring term: PERSONAL INVESTIGATION - Component 1 Subheading 3 and complete visual Development 1 in preparation for essay. Assessment Criteria AO1, AO2 and AO3 Summer term: PERSONAL INVESTIGATION - Essay writing component which involves analysing in greater depth a collection of new artists to inspire the beginning of Development 2.
