Students with a passion for learning about how everything in the Universe works or wanting to move onto a science related course post Bridge Academy e.g. Physics, Engineering or Medicine. Year 12: There are two examinations. Both papers will be based on the following modules: •Module 1 - Development of practical skills in Physics •Module 2- Foundations of Physics •Module 3- Forces and motion •Module 4-Electrons, Waves and Photons Year 13- A Level: There are three examinations. The three papers will be based on the following modules and will include a synoptic (mixed) paper. The three papers will be based on •Module 1-Development of practical skills in Physics •Module 2-Foundations of Physics •Module 3-Forces and motion •Module 4-Electrons, Waves and Photons •Module 5-Newtonian world and Astrophysics •Module 6-Particles and medical Physics
For A Level courses applicants will need six 4-9 grades including English and Mathematics with a minimum of a grade 6 in their chosen relevant subjects. Level 7 in Triple Science Physics, 66 in the Physics component of the Double Science and Level 7 in Maths.
Throughout the two years, there are a variety of practical skills that you will need to develop. These are assessed in your short written reports after completing the experiments.
