Course summary

Students who want to learn to lead a personal investigation. That is, students who want to learn to: Use contextual research and understanding to support the development of their own ideas. Become independent in making progress towards mastering a skill. For example: observing and recording through drawing or experimenting with and refining their use of processes and resources. Contribute critically to discussion about work in progress, thereby helping to realise their own and others' intentions.

Component 1-60% Coursework including practical work, supporting studies and 1000-3000 word essay on a chosen area of investigation Component 2 - 40% Externally set assignment. Starting in term 5 leading towards a 15 hour controlled assessment.
