Law at A-Level is specifically designed for those who have no previous legal knowledge. Starting from scratch students build a broad and deep understanding of the workings of the English Legal system in addition to a working knowledge of three areas of substantive law. Over the two years students study: the structure and working of the English Legal System , Law Making and the Nature of Law in addition to Criminal Law, the Law of Tort and Human Rights Law.
5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 including a 4 in English
Three two-hour examination papers in Year 2 - 80 marks each.Assessed on essay and scenario based questions: Essay questions assess knowledge (A01) and evaluation (AO3) . Scenario based questions assess knowledge (AO1) and legal application skills (A02).
