A minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 4. Students applying to the 6th Form without GCSEs but with an equivalent qualification must provide confirmation from their most recent educational establishment of courses studied, levels of attainment and equivalent grades with reference to GCSE grades 9 to 1. Additional Requirements: Students must achieve a Grade 6-6 in combined Science GCSE or a grade 6 or above in Physics GCSE. Also a Grade 6 Mathematics GCSE.

Assessment
Three 2 hour examinations completed at the end of the A Level course: • Paper 1: 60 marks of short and long answer questions and 25 multiple choice questions on content 1 to 6.1. • Paper 2: 60 marks of short and long answer questions and 25 multiple choice questions on content 6.2,7 and 8 with assumed knowledge from 1 to 5. • Paper 3: 45 marks of short and long answer questions on practical experiments and data analysis plus 35 marks of short and long answer questions on optional topic.
