As well as giving you an understanding of the main elements of computing, studying Computer Science A-level at Bilborough College will build your awareness of the social, economic and legal implications of using computer-based systems in a variety of situations. Please note that studying for this academic course is very different from the day-to-day use of PCs as a hobby or as a tool for other subjects. It is not about mastering the latest system available in the IT or games market (although admittedly that is fun). Programming will be an essential part of your studies and you’ll be expected to put a considerable amount of work into mastering basic programming skills using VB.NET.
