Course summary

The Fine Art endorsement provides opportunities for students to develop their visual communication skills in a range of media such assculpture, painting drawing printmaking, and installation art. The A Level course adopts a thematic approach to study. At A Level students develop their knowledge and skills through Component 1: Personal Investigation, where they develop a project which deepens their knowledge and understanding. The second Component is a project set by the examination board that culminates in a 15 hour examination. During these examination students develop a final outcome to culminate their project work. A Level Fine Art helps develops a student’s ability to communicate their ideas visually and develop their ideas. It is an excellent way of developing skills needed for further study at Further or Higher education.
