The A level course builds on prior learning at GCSE. Students will explore practical and critical/contextual work through a range of processes and media, including painting and drawing, printmaking, sculpture and lens-based image making. This course is designed to stimulate students’ intellectuals, imaginative and creative capabilities. Skills learned • Generate and explore wide range of ideas using appropriate media and techniques; • How to undertake research, gathering visual material’ • Explore resources, analyzing, discussing and evaluating images, objects and artefacts; • Use knowledge and understanding of the work of others to develop and extend thinking and inform own work; • Apply knowledge and understanding in making images and artefacts; • Review and modify work; plan and develop ideas in a wide range of media; • Organise, select and communicate ideas, solutions and responses, and present them in a range of visual, tactile and/or sensory forms;
