Year 1 Topic 1: Family and Households Topic 2: Education with Research Methods Year 2 Topic 1: The Media Topic 2: Crime and Deviance with Research Methods Many students have progressed into various careers such as marketing, teaching or one of the caring professions, for example, nursing. It also might lead to a media or journalistic career path. However, it is useful for many careers. You will learn through taught classes, group work and presentations.

Assessment
A-level Sociology is 100% externally assessed and taken at the end of the course. You will sit two exams at the end of the first year which will be 1 hour and 30 minutes each and at the end of the second year you will sit three exams all of which are 2 hours long.
