Course summary

A’ level English Literature aims to provide you the opportunity to embrace your love for literature from across time periods and genres; to engage in critical debate about the texts, the ways in which they have been constructed and the significance of contexts in which they are written and received. This two year course builds on your existing knowledge of literature. You will learn more about authors, texts and literary theories and develop your own interpretations. The A’ level paper involves both examinations and Non-Examined Assessment, so you will develop your independence.
