Sociologists are interested in why society works in the way that it does and the extent to which our behaviour – and opportunities – can be shaped by our social class, age, gender and race. All students are required to have a minimum of 5 GCSEs. *This also includes achieving a grade 4 and 5 in GCSE English Language and English Literature and a grade 3 or above in GCSE Maths. Subject specific requirements: Students should have a minimum of five GCSEs at Grade 6 or above, Grade 6 in Sociology if taken at GCSE or a Grade 6 or in a Humanities based subject as well as a 6 in English Language.
Assessment 3 written papers, all papers are 2hours long, of equal weighting of the A Level. All pages have a combination of multiple choice short answers and essay style questions.
