The Classical Civilisation A Level qualification provides students with a broad and rewarding study of the classical world. Students have the opportunity to study elements of the literature, visual/material culture and thoughts of the classical world while acquiring an understanding of their social historical and cultural contexts.
Grade 5 at GCSE English (literature and language). The minimum entry requirement for A Level courses is at least five GCSE passes at grade 6 or higher. In addition, some courses will have specific entry requirements
3 written papers, one worth 40% and the other two worth 30% each. Paper 1- The World of the Hero The examination is worth 100 marks and lasts 2 hours and 20 minutes. This represents 40% of the total marks for the A Level. Paper 2- Greek Art The examination is worth 75 marks and lasts 1 hours and 45 minutes. This represents 30% of the total marks for the A Level. Paper 3- Greek Religion The examination is worth 75 marks and lasts 1 hours and 45 minutes. This represents 30% of the total marks for the A Level
