First Year Study one Cultural Topic (e.g. one book or one film) from a Spanish-speaking country or community and the following themes: Social issues and trends - Aspects of Spanish-speaking society: - Modern vs traditional values; Cyberspace; Equal gender rights. Artistic culture in the Spanish-speaking world: - Modern-day idols; Spanish regional identity; Cultural heritage. Second Year Study two Cultural Topics (e.g. one book and one film) from a Spanish-speaking country or community. You will also study: Aspects of Spanish-speaking society: - Immigration, Racism, Integration. Artistic culture in the Spanish-speaking world: - Today’s youth, tomorrow’s citizens - Monarchies and dictatorships - Politics and popular movements
