Course summary

Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of sociological theories, concepts and evidence and sociological research methods. Apply sociological theories, concepts, evidence and research methods to a range of issues including Family and Household, Education, Research Methods, Crime and Deviance and Mass Media. Analyse and evaluate sociological theories, concepts, evidence, and research methods in order to present arguments, make judgements, draw conclusions. Why You will enjoy this course if you are interested in studying trends in society and learning completing explanations to understand how society functions. If you have a passion for debating social issues and critically evaluating explanations for patterns of behaviour you will enjoy this course.

Entry requirements

Grade 6 English AND Grade 6 in a Humanities Subject (Geography, History or Religious Studies)
