This program is suitable for students who wish to study a range of different subjects and intend to progress onto A2 Levels and into higher education.
6 GCSEs grade 9-4 (grade A -C) in academic subjects, including English & Maths. Some subjects will require grade 9-6 (grade A -B) to study at AS level. Minimum grade 5 in GCSE English Language and in GCSE History. If you have not previously studied History, you can have a discussion with the Section Manager who may still consider you for this subject.
The AS (Advanced Subsidiary) Levels are composed of exams which are taken in May/June. To complete a full A Level, a further year of study is required, and the new reformed qualifications are assessed through terminal exams, covering work from both years, taken in May/June. There is a coursework component in some subjects.
