This is a two-year course and equivalent to 3 A Levels. This course is your first step toward a career in the creative industries as a graphic designer, fashion designer, interior designer or architect. You will also have the chance to gain individual industry work experience. KEY TOPICS Fashion and textile design 3D design (architecture and product design) Graphic design (illustration, advertising and animation) Experimental drawing Historical and contemporary work of artists and designers YOU WILL Work in the context of a professional designer Design and develop your own artwork and final product Visit museums and galleries Take part in workshops at Central Saint Martins, the London College of Communication (LCC), London College of Fashion and the Courtauld Institute Meet with professional artists and designers - previous students have worked with 3D animators, storyboard artists, printmakers and fashion designers
A minimum of 5 GCSEs (average score of 4) These must include: English Language at grade 4 Maths at grade 4 Art related subject at grade 4 All applicants will be required to present a portfolio of art and design work as part of the interview process. Students currently taking a Level 2 vocational course will need a minimum of a Merit in a related subject.
