Year 1: • The operation of markets and market failure • The national economy in a global context Year 2: • Individuals, firms, markets and market failure • The national and international economy PROGRESSION ROUTES: A qualification in Economics will allow progression to university study for an Economics degree or combine with another subject for example Finance, Accounting, Management, Law and Sociology. Students with an Economics qualification have skills that are attractive to employers in private businesses, insurance, banking, national and local government, hospital management and economic lawyers.
