Course summary

What will I Study? We will study Theories of Sociology such as Functionalism, Marxism and Feminism and we apply these to the study of; Families and Households, Education, Beliefs and Crime and Deviance. Within these subject we answer such questions as; Are Nuclear Families the best for society? Do teachers label students? and why? are science and religion similar? How should we research education issues such as Poverty? We use essay writing skills to evaluate, analyse and show our knowledge and understanding. We also study Research Methods that we apply throughout the course which is a core part of our studying of society.
