Course summary

Sports studies is one of the subject areas which has seen a big increase in course provision since 1990. It is an increasingly popular career sector, with demand for higher level expertise in performance analysis, business management, and community engagement, as well as hands-on participation. There are more people going to gyms and other sporting and exercise facilities, meaning that there is a greater demand for expertise in the area of sports studies. Sport studies will help you to understand and solve some of society's biggest challenges whilst working out how the body responds to the challenge of physical activity. Progression Many students who study the Sport C-Tech then go on to study sport further at University with a variety of courses available. Studying sport at university can give you a whole host of exciting career options, including: Sports professional Coach Personal trainer Physiotherapist Sports psychologist Broadcasting and media administrator Public relations officer Sports journalist Sport and leisure management Sports nutritionist P.E teacher
