Further Mathematics is particularly useful if you are planning to study Mathematics, Physics or Engineering at university. It is also relevant for studying Economics or Computing. In Year 12, you will study the full A Level Maths (Pure and Applied) In Year 13, you will study Further Pure Maths 1 and 2 and a combination of Further Statistics 1, Further Statistics 2, Further Mechanics 1.and Decision Maths 1 The order of the modules is subject to change depending on the cohort. The full A Level Mathematics course will be taught and examined in Year 12. Further Maths is then taught and examined in Year 13.
