This course is ideal for you, if you’re interested in a career in the beauty industry, allowing you to learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment and career progression. This is a technical level qualification designed to develop your practical beauty therapy skills. On this course, you will learn: - Health and safety practice in the salon - Client care and consultation - Body analysis - Swedish massage therapy - Facial electrotherapy treatments - Body electrotherapy treatments - Electrical science - Mechanical massage - Anatomy and physiology for the face and body On completion of this course, you will be ready to confidently enter the beauty industry, with a wide range of opportunities available, from working in salons, spas, health suites, cruise ships, to even starting your own business. You will also have the skills to be able to progress into higher education.
You will need to have GCSE English and Maths in Grade 4 or above, as well two other GCSE’s at Grade 4 or above. You will also need to have a recognised level 2 qualifcation in Beauty Therapy.
You will be assessed through practical assessments, exams and a portfolio of evidence.
