Course summary

The intention of the Biology curriculum is to foster the interest in science developed through earlier key stages as well as master scientific attitudes through practical work. It is the intent that students will also: - Build independence through meaningful study and analysis of information and data. - Develop core skills in biology, including critical thinking. - Develop mastery in the practical skills require to conduct Biology experiments and to critically evaluate practical methods. - Develop a deep knowledge and understanding of Biology and its impact on the world around us. - To achieve academic success at A-level in a subject that has a good reputation for being worldly and challenging. - To provide opportunities for progression to further education, training and employment.
