Drama and Theatre Studies
Course summary
A Level Drama and Theatre will give you analytical and performance skills, exploring a wide range of text and the work of established practitioners, whilst considering how the history of theatre has shaped contemporary styles and form. You will take part in a variety of assessments and develop a wide range of skills in both performance and academic analysis, with theatre trips to support your study and immerse you in the industry.

Grade 5 or above in GCSE English Language Grade 5 or above in GCSE Drama - if you did not study GCSE Drama but have extensive experience, this will be considered Three further GCSEs at grade 4 or above If you wish to study 4 A Levels, you will need 7 GCSEs at grade 7 or above, including two at grade 8. All applicants must have an interview to confirm that A Levels are suitable for them.

Assessment
There are a variety of different forms of assessment, including three performance exams over the two years and one summative written exam at the end of the second year.
