What is Biology? Biology is a continously evolving and developing subject at the forefront of current issues such as genetic modification, microbiology, environmental science, medicine and epidemiology. it is essential for understanding the world now and our impact on the future. What type of students succeed at Biology? There is wealth and new terminolgy. Students with strong maths and technical chemistry skills tend to excel in this subject. Due to the volume of the content, there are high expectations in terms of independent learning. What skills does Biology develop? Analytical, Investigative, Mathematical, Chromatography.

7-7 Combined Science. 6 in separate science.

How you'll be assessed

The final examinations for the 2 years A Level Biology course consists: 2 hours 15 minutes exams and 1 hours 30 minutes exam. Each Module has up to 7 topics, each of which is assessed in the form of a 40 minutes in class assessment.
