Course summary

Through comprehensive theoretical frameworks learners across all year groups develop a thorough understanding of key Media Debates, to support critical exploration and reflection of the social, cultural, political and economic role of the media in society contextually. Students study media products, industries and audiences across television, radio, film, music, video games, newspapers, magazines, online and social media, before applying this understanding to hands on production tasks using photographic and audio-visual editing software. We roundly equip students for advancing to higher education and our vocational pathways also prepare students for employment in entry level roles across all of Media Sectors.
