This course is equivalent to an A Level and is taken together with two other A Level subjects. This course is divided into two sections, microeconomics: the part of economics concerned with single factors and the effects of individual decisions, and macroeconomics, which focuses on the national and international economy. You will study the behaviour of individuals and firms, and will learn about how markets work and how they sometimes fail, requiring government intervention to put things right. 5 GCSEs at 5 and above. Higher entry requirements are required for those wishing to study 4 A Levels. You will also need a 5 for both English Language and Maths.
