Course summary

A Level Mathematics gives you an opportunity to develop your skills in topics such as algebra, trigonometry, statistics, probability, proof, and problem-solving. The course is composed of Pure Mathematics (2/3 of the course) and Applied Mathematics (1/3 of the course). A Level Mathematics is a fun, creative, and empowering subject, which gives us the opportunity to think deeply about abstract problems. It can also be used to create models and algorithms to find solutions to a wide range of problems, e.g. in business, science, planning, politics, etc. At BSix we have a weekly Maths club where students and teachers meet to discuss interesting problems; students are encouraged to go to events at King’s College London and The University of Cambridge to further explore the subject.
