This is a foundation course designed to help students prepare for a BTEC Level 2 Applied Science programme or a related course; you will study biology, chemistry and physics as well as maths and English. After this course students may wish to progress to a Level 2 BTEC in Applied Science, a Level 2 in Engineering, or any other Level 2 course.
It is preferable to have a minimum of E3 in English and maths and grade 2/3 (E) in science GCSE; we will also give you an informal test in maths and English at your interview.
Assignment based coursework, graded with a Pass, Merit, Distinction. All units must be completed to achieve the course. You will also be expected to improve your maths and English in order to support your progression to a level 2 course.
