Course summary

What will I learn? History teaches us to ask two very important questions: why and how. This is key to sharpening your thinking abilities, which combine the following skills: Analysis, Research, Essay writing, Communication, Problem solving and Argumentation. In the wentieth century, liberal democracies came under increasing challenge from both within and without. The options in Route H allow students to understand the nature, and effectiveness, of the response to these challenges. Studying two different countries allows students to develop a greater understanding of the challenges experienced by Britain and the USA, and of the contrasts and similarities in the responses.
