For this Level 2 Diploma you will learn about Health and Safety and industry practices, electrical science, electrical installation and electrical technology. This course will enable students to progress into employment, although not as a fully qualified electrician, or to the Diploma in Electrical Installation (Buildings and Structures) Level 3. In order to be considered for progression to the next level of Electrical courses students need to have 85%+ attendance in their current course.
Level 1 Electrical Installation - and/or 4 GCSEs grade at grade 3+ including GCSE English and maths at 4+ OR Functional Skills maths and English Level 2. (If students do not have Level 2 maths and English they will need to retake.) In order to be considered for progression to the next level of Electrical courses students need to have 85%+ attendance in their current course.
Your work will be assessed by a combination of City & Guilds knowledge exams and assessments of your practical work by a qualified assessor. You will be given help to prepare for all assessments and tests. The qualification also involves Employer involvement as part of the course.
