For students interested in current and creative media. The course is designed to encourage candidates to develop their practical and theoretical skills in current creative media and media industries. Students will receive a grounding in media theory including the key concepts of language, representation, audiences and institutions. They will then put theory into practice by undertaking a production task based on a set brief.
For A Level courses applicants will need six 4-9 grades including English and Mathematics with a minimum of a grade 6 in their chosen relevant subjects. Grade 5 or above In GCSE Media Studies or Grade 6 or above in GCSE English Language if they have never studied the subject before.
