You will have the opportunity to study across a wide range of topics in the field of computing. In year 1 you will study 9 units. The two year course comprises 18 units including: Computer systems, Networking, AutoCAD, Advanced spreadsheet skills, Programming with Java, IT systems analysis and design, website development and IT projects. You will also be required to complete a work placement as part of the course. Progression is to University or directly into employment.
Applicants must have the following qualifications: 5 GCSEs including English and maths at Grade 4/5 (C) or above. We will consider equivalent qualifications.
Each unit will undergo a variety of assessments internally. Additionally, two units will be assessed externally via examinations.
