Lessons involve both theoretical and practical activities. A commitment to discussion and study time outside lessons is essential for success in this course. You will be expected to attend the Biology Field Trip over a weekend.
At least three GCSEs at Grade 6 or above in relevant subjects Two Grade 6 or above in Combined Science. Grade 6 or above in Biology and one other science if you studied separate sciences at GCSE. A Grade 6 or above in GCSE English and a Grade 6 or above in Mathematics
For A level, there are there examined modules; • Biological processes (Worth 37%) 100 marks (2 hour 15 mins exam) • Biological diversity (Worth 37%) 100 marks (2 hour 15 mins exam) • Unified Biology (Worth 26%) 70 marks (1 hour 30 mins exam) • Practical endorsement in Biology (non exam assessment, reported separately)
