Economics
Course summary
At A level, the ability to write a coherent essay with logical chains of reasoning and the use of relevant information, is far more important than being good at maths. The skills you will develop while studying A-level economics include the following: Analytical thinking and problem solving; Manipulation and interpreting different types of information; Written and verbal communication skills which help you to compose logical arguments and make informed judgements; Using qualitative and quantitative data effectively. These skills are transferable which means you can transfer them to plenty of other jobs – not just those of professional economists.
