Course summary

An A-Level in Law is a valuable qualification to have for entry into Higher Education or other Law routes such as apprenticeships. It also aids you in gaining the opportunity to progress onto vocational courses that prepare you for a career in the legal profession. The AS-Level part of this course will touch on three components: The Nature of Law and the English Legal System, Substantive Law in Practice, and Perspectives of Substantive Law. The course will cover various aspects of lawmaking and the court system, as well as explore knowledge and applications of criminal & tort law. If you chose to carry on AS-Level Law to A-Level, you would study criminal & tort law in more depth while also examining contract law. There will also be an additional component exam that focuses on evaluation skills. This course will help you to explain complex legal concepts and identify issues within problem questions. You will identify problems in law and have plenty of opportunities to apply your knowledge whilst making suggestions for reform.
