Within the AS-Level, you will examine societal development in relation to our cultures, identities, and familial roles, as well as explore sociological research skills linked to social inequality. The A-Level dissects social inequality in more depth, discussing different ideas about inequality and power, particularly concerning education. Throughout the course, you will also be introduced to several global debates as you study globalisation and the digital world. Sociology can also be an advantageous qualification to have in a multitude of different career paths such as marketing, law, teaching, Civil Service, and social work.
A minimum of 6 grade 4s, including a grade 4 or above in GCSE English Language, is required. GCSE Maths must also be at a grade 3 as a minimum. If GCSE Maths is at a grade 3, you would have to resit it.
