They will become more aware of scientific methods and advances in technology and this will be set in ‘how science works’ contexts that students will find interesting and challenging and will stimulate enthusiasm.
At the end of the second year, there is a non‐exam assessment of 12 practical activities, either pass or fail. - Paper 1 – Biological Processes (modules 1, 2, 3 and 5) 2 hours 15 minutes, 100 marks, 37% of A Level. - Paper 2 – Biological Diversity (modules 1, 2, 4 and 6) 2 hours 15 minutes, 100 marks, 37% of A Level. - Paper 3 – Unified Biology (all modules) 1 hour 30 minutes, 70 marks, 26% of A Level.
